Xola Sanqela

Mr Xola Sanqela was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2002 after he obtained his BIURIS and LLB degrees at the University of Transkei (now Walter Sisulu University) and Wits University, respectively. He has extensive experience in Public Private Partnership (PPP) transactional work where he has acted for various government organizations, departments and/or entities as part of various transaction advisory teams. He has successfully led legal work streams and navigated various critical stages in PPP projects during feasibility assessments, preparation of procurement documentation (including draft agreements and schedules), and undertook commercial and financial negotiations through to transaction closing.

Carlton Mogane

Mr Carlton Mogane was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2005 after he obtained his B.Proc and LLB degrees at the University of Durban Westville (now the University of KwaZulu Natal). Subsequent to obtaining the aforementioned qualifications, Mr Mogane completed a Higher Diploma in Corporate Law at RAU University.  Carlton has a wealth of experience in Labour matters and Employment Law where he appears on behalf of a number of employers, employees and trade unions. In July 2019, he acted as a judge at the Labour Court. Furthermore, He has accumulated expert knowledge in general litigation of matters throughout the South African Court System, with a preference to appear on his own, in appropriate High Court and Appeal Court matters.


Ms. Thendo Mapheba was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in
2021. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of South Africa and also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Johannesburg. Since joining Sanqela Attorneys in February 2020, she accumulated experience in Commercial Law, Commercial Litigation and Employment Law and  Public – Private Partnership (PPP) transactional work.


Mr. Neo Mokoena was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Johannesburg. He served his articles at FASKEN, one of the internationally renowned law firms, where he was exposed to different facets of law, namely, Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolution and Projects and Finance. He joined Sanqela Attorneys as an Attorney in April 2022 where he is actively involved in Commercial Law, Commercial Litigation; Labour & Employment and Public Private Partnership (PPP)  work.

Candidate Attorney

Ms. Itumeleng Lesemela is currently serving her articles of clerkship. She also holds a BA Humanities degree (in Politics and Development studies) from the University of Johannesburg, since 2017. She then went on to obtain her LLB degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2020. She is actively involved in Commercial Law, Commercial Litigation; Labour & Employment and Public Private Partnership (PPP) work.

Candidate Attorney

Ms. Neuzia Sidumo is a Candidate Attorney. She obtained her National Diploma in Legal Assistance from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2016. She is a final year student at the University of South Africa for a Bachelor of Laws degree. With a background in Library Services and in addition to her primary paralegal duties, she provides proficient legal administrative assistance to the Directors and the Attorneys.

Administrative Assistant

Mr. Gqosha joined in 2019. His role in the firm is to provide general operational, administrative and auxiliary support to the entire firm.
